Neoregelia 'Christmas Lights' X NEOMEA we noted a cross byA cultivar of Milagro [(carolinae x concentrica) x Royal Burgundy]. A reverse variegated sport with random central variegation rather than the albomargination seen in Milagro. Selected from a clone that sported at Tropiflora, it has striking coloration of bright red mottled glaze over glossy green with white variegation. The plant reaches nearly 30 inches across in a flat rosette of 1 inch wide, red tipped leaves. No color flush at anthesis.
