Pariwish vintage The Carpets of Afghanistan p173A late twentieth century finely woven Afghan Baluch rug with silk warps from Herat in northwest Afghanistan. Fine, precise patterning of the dark blue black field with centre row of dark red and camel flowerhead motifs; dark blue black main border of Turkmen trees; medallion guards. Slight colour fade at one end. Small spots of old moth damage and slight fraying to white flatweave ends but otherwise good condition. Very long silk fringes, close
